My response to Confessions of a gaming widow on BBC News online:

When gaming becomes an addiction, it's not comparable to football or going to the pub.

An online game is a world you can immerse in. The experience can be so intense that it's more exciting than the real thing. And the more you play, the less you get to experience the real world.

Football or the pub has its restrictions: money and openings times. You can play games online till you drop.

A better comparison would be the casino. And to be real; your social life is at stake.

My game was Counter-Strike. A few weeks ago I deleted it from my PC. For the fourth time. It is the best remedy.
