At work we get many mails and calls from people offering us to optimize our website for Google. Most of the time it's spam. Sometimes these people actually spent time researching our company. It's still spam though.
Since part of my job is to maintain the website, it's pretty annoying having people telling me I'm doing a lousy search engine job. Then again, it can always be done better. (*)
To give you some clue. We're into license plate recognition, referred to by 80% of the market as number plate recognition. We market a product called INTRADA ALPR:
dacolian.com/en/products/id/intrada_alpr/
To do a better job, we registered an alias domain and made sure our product could be found using the term anpr:
numberplaterecognition.com/en/products/id/intrada_anpr/
And another improvement is our glossary:

With sodutch being indexed very well by search engines, it's only a matter of time to see what the result will be.
*) Without cheating by using 99 backdoor entry pages for example.
